The Boss?
The Greenwood family reunion really started at our grandma {Verna} and grandpa {Art's} dining/kitchen table. Everyday for lunch grandma would be cooking away in the kitchen waiting for Art to come home for lunch along with the nine kids, plus may-be one or two friends. It seems like anyone was welcome to sit around this huge table surrounded by love. As the family got larger with grandkids, the place to go was always Grandma and Grandpa Greenwood's. Not just for meals, but to be around our cousins and run around the yard and play games (like Mother My I). But if you did need a snack you could always count on grandma to have a batch of home made sugar cookies! Cookies made with love!!
As the families got older and larger, and grandma and grandpa are in heaven, we have stayed together. Trying at first threw the years, to take turns at each one of the nine kids houses to have the family dinners together. That lasted for a few years, but as the families have grown, the houses got too small. Now we all meet once a year, the week before Christmas, at the Lyons Club.
